Minimum Qualifications and Experience as per A.I.C.T.E. norms.
AND EXPERIENCE
Engineering
(i) Assistant Professor: (15600-39100+6000)
BE/B.Tech and ME/M.Tech in relevant branch with First Class or equivalent either in
BE/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech. Aptitude for Research is highly desirable.
(ii) Associate Professor: (37400-67000+9000)
Qualification as above that is for the post of Assistant Professor, as applicable and Ph.D or
equivalent, in appropriate discipline with minimum of 05 years experience in teaching
/research/industry of which 02 years post Ph.D experience is desirable. Post Ph.D
publications in journals of repute and guiding Ph.D student is highly desirable.
(iii) Professor (Rs 37400-67000+10000 fixed at a stage not below Rs 43000)
Qualification as above that is for the post of Associate Professor, applicable with minimum
of 10 years teaching / research / industrial experience of which at least 5 years should be at
the level of Associate Professor. Post Ph.D publications in journals of repute and guiding
Ph.D student is highly desirable
Minimum of 13 years experience in teaching and/or Research and/or Industry. In case of
research experience, good academic record and books/research paper publications
/IPR/patents record shall be required as deemed fit by the expert members of the Selection
Committee.
If the experience in industry is considered, the same shall be at managerial level equivalent
to Associate Professor with active participation record in devising /designing, planning,
executing, analyzing, quality control, innovating, training, technical books/research paper
publications/IPR/patents, etc. as deemed fit by the expert members of the selection
committee.
DESIRABLE SPECIALIZATION IN DIFFERENT DISCIPLINES:
(a) Electrical Engineering.
Specialization in Electric Machines/Power Systems/Power Electronics & Drives/
Measurement & Control Systems / High Voltage Engineering/Energy. Published work in

Humanities & Sciences (Physics,Chemistry& Mathematics )
(i) Assistant Professor: (15600-39100+6000)
1. Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale
wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level, in the relevant subject
or an equivalent degree from an Indian/Foreign University.
2. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, candidates must have cleared the National
Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR, or similar test accredited by the UGC.
However, candidates, who are, or have been awarded Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the
University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D.
Degree) Regulations 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum
eligibility Condition of NET/SLET/SET.
(ii) Associate Professor: (37400-67000+9000)
Good academic record with first class or an equivalent CGPA at the Master's level and Ph.D
Degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 08 years of which 02 years post Ph.D
experience is desirable, experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research
position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University College or Accredited
Research Institution/Industry excluding the period of Ph.D research with evidence of
published work and a minimum of 05 publication as books and/or research/policy papers..
Post Ph.D publications in journals of repute and guiding Ph.D student, contribution to
educational innovation, design of new courses and curricula is highly desirable.

Assistant Librarian (15600-39100+6000)
First Class or an equivalent CGPA at the Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information
Science /Documentation Science and consistently good academic record with knowledge of
computerization of library. Besides fulfilling this qualification, candidates should have
cleared the national level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency
approved by the UGC. Candidates who are or have been awarded a Ph.D shall be exempted
from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET.
DESIRABLE SPECIALIZATION
M.Phil/Ph.D Degree with in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science
with knowledge of computerization of library and experience of automation of library /
documentation / Archives and Manuscript keeping.
School of Bio-Technology

First Class or an equivalent CGPA at the Master’s Degree with PhD in Physical Education.
Eight Years experience as University Assistant DPES/college DPES. Evidence of
organizing competitions and conducting coaching camps of at least two weeks duration.
Evidence of having produced good performance teams/athletes for competitions like
state/national/inter-university/combined university, etc.
School of Nano-Technology
(i) Assistant Professor: (15600-39100+6000)
BE/B.Tech and ME/M.Tech with First Class or equivalent either in BE/B.Tech or
ME/M.Tech.. Aptitude for Research is highly desirable.
Ph.D in Nanotechnology/ Chemical Engineering or Technology/ Chemical and Material
Sciences/ Biomaterials/ Electronics/ Physics. Post Ph.D publications are highly desirable in
the field of Nanotech.
DESIRABLE SPECIALIZATION
Specialization in Nanotechnology/ Chemical and Material Sciences/ Biomaterials/
Electronics/ Physics/Nano material/Nano Devices and in any other concern branch of
nanotech.
(II) Professor (Rs 37400-67000+10000 fixed at a stage not below Rs 43000)
BE/B.Tech and ME/M.Tech with First Class or equivalent either in BE/B.Tech or

OR
1. Equivalence for PhD is based on publication of 05 International Journal Papers, each
Journal having a cumulative impact index of not less than 2.0, with incumbent as the main
author and all 05 publications being in the author’s area of specialization.
2. PhD shall be from a recognized University.
3. For an incumbent Assistant Professor, experience at the level of Assistant Professor will be
considered equivalent to experience at the level of Associate Professor, provided the
incumbent Assistant Professor has acquired or acquires Ph.D Degree in the relevant
discipline.
4. Experience at Diploma Institutions is also considered equivalent to experience in degree
level Institutions at appropriate level and as applicable. However, qualification as above
shall be mandatory.
